Citrus
Aviation Association was formed on June 20,
1991 by a small group of local pilots. There were
nine charter members.
Since
that time, CAA members have:
-
participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program
-
donated teddy bears to the Citrus County Sheriff’s
Teddy Bear Program
-
heard many interesting guest speakers
-
enjoyed barbecues and other social activities
-
kept up to date on changes in FAA regulations
-
been active in local political discussions concerning
aviation
-
organized fly-ins to various points
of interest

Purposes

Support general aviation

Promote safety awareness

Provide an educational
forum for aviation issues

Facilitate social interaction
among those with an
interest in aviation
•
Encourage development
and improvement of local
airports
•
Maintain effective
communication between
airports and county
government

Foster positive relations
between airports and
community members

Meetings:
Citrus
Aviation Association meets at 6:30 pm on the 4th Thursday
of each month. Meetings are usually held at the Crystal
River Airport.
Spouses,
guests and members of the general public are welcome
to attend meetings.
